Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information from third-party sign-in providers.

• Information you provide may include your full name or the name associated with your Apple or Google account, your email address, life preferences such as wake and work times, and the tasks, habits, projects, events, comments, notes, and other details you choose to enter.
• If you contact us or send feedback, we may collect the contents of those messages, including bug reports and feature requests.
• If you use calendar-related features, we may store limited calendar information such as the calendar name and calendar source.
• Information we collect automatically may include your device model, operating system and version, app version, usage events, crash and error data, and time zone.
• If you sign in with Apple or Google, we may receive account information made available through Firebase Authentication or the sign-in provider, such as your name, email address, and provider account identifier.

Sensitive Information

We do not require you to provide sensitive personal information. Because Braindump is a productivity app, you may choose to store content that is personal or sensitive in nature, so please use discretion when deciding what to include.

How We Use Information

• Support scheduling, reminders, and other productivity features
• Provide AI-powered chat assistant features
• Monitor usage, performance, and reliability

Braindump includes chat assistant features powered in part by OpenAI.

When you use these features, we send only the information needed to generate a response. This may include your prompt and a limited brief or summary with select productivity-related fields, such as a task title, deadline, scheduled date, priority, estimated time, or whether an item is linked to a project or event.

We aim to minimize the amount of data shared with OpenAI, and OpenAI does not have direct access to your Firebase account or database through Braindump.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how people use Braindump and improve the product. This may include events such as app opens, errors, entity creation, editing and deletion, and use of the Synapse chat assistant.

We also use Firebase Crashlytics to help detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and stability issues.

We use this information for product improvement and reliability, not for advertising.

Notifications, Time Zone, and Calendar Access

Braindump may request permission to send local notifications so we can deliver reminders and alerts you choose to enable.

We use your device time zone to support scheduling and time-based features.

Calendar-related features are optional. If you choose to use them, we may store limited information such as the calendar name and calendar source.

We do not collect or store precise location data. Other than your time zone, we do not store location information.

Payments and Subscriptions

Braindump offers subscriptions through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store your full payment card information. Subscription and purchase processing is handled by Apple.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

• Firebase, for authentication, cloud storage, analytics, and crash reporting
• OpenAI, for AI assistant features
• Apple, for in-app purchases and subscription processing
• Apple or Google, when you choose to sign in using those services
• Authorities or other parties when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of the Services
• Relevant parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored using Firebase and related service providers.

If you delete your account, we may retain your information for up to 30 days before deletion from our active systems, unless a longer retention period is required by law, needed for security purposes, or necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

Account Deletion and Your Choices

You can delete your account through the app. When you do, we will begin the deletion process for your personal data, subject to the retention period described above.

You may also choose not to use optional features such as notifications, calendar-related functionality, or AI assistant tools.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Users

Braindump is offered worldwide. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain privacy rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to or limit certain processing in some circumstances.
